I like it. It ticks all the boxes for me. Big, comfy, and relatively obscure, while still being quite cheap. They were even pretty sharp looking too. Check out that taillight setup!

Kinja'd!!!

The interior was also rather not crap for a 2000s Hyundai too!

Kinja'd!!!

Sadly, the Azera sold like crap in Canada. So crap that we didn’t even get the 2nd gen. It’s one of those cars you don’t see all the time, but if you do, you might miss it and mistake it for a Sonata.

I’ve always liked the looks of these, but I’ve never driven one. I’ve heard they handle like ass, but I’d still rather have one than something like a LeSabre if for no other reason than the Hyundai I owned from that era was easily the most reliable car I've ever had.

My father in law will probably sell you his, looks brand new inside and out. I will tell what it’s like to drive...have you ever driven a late 90s Cadillac sts or sls? Like that, even the leather smells the same

Haven’t. But I’d assume it would be like an older Caddy or even a Buick.

Eager torquey engine with associated torque steer, hints of sporting dreams but saddled with a big body, steering that is over boosted but accurate enough, quite, comfortable...

These have aged weirdly well

They handle like Hyundai hadn’t discovered that ride AND handling were things. Its very early 90's caddy...in a nice way.

That’s about what I’d expect. One thing I have driven that’s on my bucket list to own is an FWD DeVille. It works for a car like this. Not so much on something like an early 2000's Sonata when the Accord was right over there showing how a midsize sedan can actually be somewhat fun.

For me, this is when I knew that Hyundai was about to show the world what they could really do. I really liked the looks and smells of these gals.

The OG Equus though...

Kinja'd!!!

Yes, it’s technically a Mitsubishi underneath - but it’s still a full-size V8 luxury car.
